Meet Dr. Pukenas

Marc J. Pukenas, DMD

I believe that dental medicine is an integral cornerstone of the healthcare profession. Possessing the knowledge and skills to diagnose and treat oral diseases is a great responsibility that has led me to dedicate my professional life to treating such conditions, resolving problems, reversing damage, and restoring teeth and gums to the healthiest possible state. In addition, I help to educate all my patients, providing them with the practical daily guidelines necessary to maintaining good oral health.  For me, the most exciting part about dentistry is being able to improve a patient’s self-confidence by changing their smile.  A beautiful smile transcends all languages.

I love learning about all aspects of dentistry and take many hours of continuing education each year. It is my goal to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and newest materials in the field of dentistry.

Outside the Office

I am originally from Florence, NJ, and currently reside in Ventnor City. I enjoy studying foreign languages, exercising, running on the beach with my dog Benny, socializing with my family and friends, and traveling abroad, when time permits. In addition, I am involved in my community through Coastal Volunteers in Medicine, a non-profit organization that provides free healthcare to the underprivileged population in Southern New Jersey.
